Private-label organic cotton hoodies in Turkey: a buyer’s construction checklist
A hoodie RFQ should define the garment before it asks for price. Buyers need to connect the silhouette, hood construction, neckline, fabric, pockets, rib, decoration and care testing in one approval record. This checklist helps fashion teams prepare a product-specific brief for a private-label manufacturer in Turkey.
Define the hoodie architecture before requesting a quote
Start by identifying a pullover or zip-through style, the intended wearer, season and fit. State whether the silhouette is regular, relaxed, oversized, cropped or another measurable shape. Add front, back and detail drawings, the size range and a point-of-measurement table.
Separate every construction route into its own style code. A zip-through hoodie, pullover with a kangaroo pocket and pocket-free style are not simple colour variations; they require different patterns, components and sample checks.

- Point-of-measurement table and grading direction
- Pullover or zip-through construction
- Quantities by style, colour and size
Specify fabric beyond the words organic cotton
Organic cotton is a fibre direction, not a complete fabric specification. Describe the knitted structure, composition direction, target weight when known, outside appearance, inside surface, stretch or recovery needs and proposed care method.
Loopback, brushed fleece and lighter jersey constructions produce different hoodies. Approve the selected fabric in the garment because drape, seam bulk, hood weight and the relationship between body fabric and rib cannot be judged fully from a small swatch.
Engineer the hood and neckline
Show whether the hood is single or double layer, how many panels it uses and how it joins the neckline. Specify the finished face opening, depth, overlap or crossover, seam position, topstitching and any lining or binding. If the design includes a drawcord, define the channel, openings, cord and ends.
Review the hood both worn and resting on the back. Check coverage, balance, neckline comfort and whether the hood pulls the front or back body out of shape. Requirements for cords and components can differ by wearer and destination market, so the brand should confirm applicable rules with its compliance adviser before approval.
Draw every zip, pocket and reinforcement
For a zip-through hoodie, identify zipper type, length, tape colour, puller, guard or facing and top and bottom finishing. For kangaroo, patch or zipped pockets, show the opening, dimensions, placement, bag construction and reinforcement points.
Check pocket symmetry, access and shape on the worn sample. A pocket can match a flat drawing while still gaping, twisting or sitting too high, and a front zip can expose mismatched hems or artwork when closed.
Treat rib and recovery as product decisions
Cuff and hem rib influence fit as well as appearance. State finished heights and openings, the intended tension and any colour or surface-matching requirement. If self-fabric cuffs or an open hem are used, document that route separately.
During development, assess comfort, recovery and the balance between rib and main fabric. Record comments against measurements and named components instead of asking only for tighter cuffs or a looser hem.
Approve artwork on the actual hoodie
Provide final print or embroidery files, dimensions, colours, orientation and placement measurements from stable garment points. Hoods, pockets, zips and seams reduce the usable decoration area, while dense embroidery can change the way a soft fabric hangs.
Approve decoration on the selected material and colour. Retain the approved strike-off, embroidery reference or finished sample with its artwork version so the production instruction does not depend on a visual mock-up alone.
Test the complete sample after the proposed care method
Compare measurements, shade, surface, twisting, rib recovery, pocket shape, zipper behaviour and decoration before and after the proposed wash sequence. Review whether the hood and body still balance and whether matching joggers or other programme pieces continue to work as a set.
Document the method, result and decision. There is no responsible universal promise for shrinkage, colour or surface performance across every fabric and finish; acceptance criteria should belong to the selected material, construction and market requirements.
Connect organic and GOTS wording to current evidence
A fabric described as organic does not automatically make the finished hoodie certified. For a GOTS-related claim, verify the certified legal entity, current scope, product and processing categories, and the documentation relevant to the actual delivery. GOTS distinguishes a Scope Certificate, which describes certified scope, from a Transaction Certificate, which records specified products and shipment information.
Share the exact wording planned for the product page, labels or packaging before artwork is approved. Do not describe Konsey Organic or a hoodie order as GOTS-certified unless current evidence supports that precise statement for the relevant supply chain and order.
Send an RFQ that can be assessed order by order
Send the tech pack or reference sample, size and colour quantities, fabric direction, hood and pocket details, artwork, trims, labels, packaging, destination market and target approval dates. Identify what is fixed and what the manufacturer may propose.
Konsey Organic lists knitted hoodies and private-label development among its product areas. MOQ, price, lead time and documentation should be assessed for the actual garment, fabric, colour count, components, order volume and approval route rather than treated as generic online promises.

FAQ
Questions buyers ask
What should a private-label hoodie tech pack include?+
Include the silhouette, measurements, hood and neckline construction, fabric, zip or pocket details, rib, artwork, labels, packaging, size range and destination market.
Should a hood be approved only by flat measurements?+
No. Check its measurements and construction, then assess coverage, balance and neckline comfort on the worn sample.
When should hoodie artwork be approved?+
Approve the print or embroidery on the selected fabric and colour, then review its placement and appearance on the made garment and after the agreed care test.
Does organic cotton make the finished hoodie GOTS-certified?+
No. Confirm the certified entity, scope, validity and order-specific transaction documentation before making a finished-product certification claim.
